I hate sound editing. But you have no idea how.
Sound is easily the most skrewy thing in Flash. (I don't program, so I don't know if Action Script is buggy.) I cannot bare the stress of working on the animation for hundred of hours, only to see everything fall apart when comes time to synch the audio.
Here I am, inserting sound effects in Miss Dynamite 24, when for no apparent reason, the sounds in one particular Movie Clip goes completly out of synch, even though they're set in Stream. (which means they should be in synch.) Is it my fault and there's something I did wrong and I don't see? Is it just Flash that's fucked?? Beats me!?!
So I erase all the sound layers in that Movie Clip, I edit them back in. Now, if there's a constant background noise set to Stream, all the audio is in synch. So it works, but it still makes no fucking sense. The sound effect should still be in synch, no matter if there's a background noise or not.
So it works, but the bug is still there lurking, and it's gonna drive me crazy until this movie is fucking done. What's gonna go wrong next? This is the part of working on a Flash movie where I regret it. I remember that the only reason why I started a new movie is because I forgot that part of working on it... Drawing comics is sooo much easier. I don't even need a computer, all I need is a pencil and paper. But I can't do animation without technology, without Flash. If it lets me down, I'm fucked! I felt a fucking knot in my stomach when that sound went nuts. Did I work all these hours for this out of synch piece of shit?
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!

My back hurts, I think I worked over 12 hours today in Flash. x_X
You can check what's done so far here.
Don't watch if you don't like spoilers or fan service or if you're one of those "OMGOD YOU USING TO MUCH TWEEN BAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!"
Pic related. Blackie is either cute or ugly when she's pissed. I can't tell which...

AP - HAVANA - The Cuban boy at the center of an international custody battle eight years ago has joined Cuba's Young Communist Union.
Communist youth newspaper Juventud Rebelde quotes Elian Gonzalez as saying he will never let down ex-President Fidel Castro and his brother Raul Castro, who succeeded Fidel earlier this year.
Now 14, Elian was 6 when Miami relatives lost their fight to keep him in the United States and he was returned to Cuba in mid-2000 with his father.
Elian had survived a boating accident off the Florida coast that killed his mother, who was attempting to get to the U.S.
You know what's next, right? The Socialist Super Soldier Serum.

Ok, regarding the idea of the Miss Dynamite collab, I'm gonna have to decide what kind of collab this is. I think there's two ways to do this.
a) I write a story and collaborators each animate a part.
b) Collaborators submit their shorts.
Or we can eat our cake and keep it too; we do a) and b). Those who want to be part of the story and do a), those who want to do their own thing, b). But seeing as it's probably a lot less work to animate a small scene, I imagine most people will want to do a).
I'm gonna have to start thinking of a little story then. Those who are interested can PM me their e-mail. I don't exactly have a standard as far as talent goes, but I'd rather avoid stuff like stick figures, unless it's really awsome stick figures (but stick figures are so 1999).
More info when I have it.

So I'm toying with the idea of a Miss Dynamite collab. A Miss Dynamite flash made by different animators.
That's as far as my idea goes for the moment. Would I write a story and collaborators each animate a scene? Or would it be a collection of small clips and movies? I could probably give some gifts to collaborators. Is anyone interested?

'haven't posted here in a while. I moved to a new appartment (I'll write about that ordeal later) and the flu kept me in bed for a whole week after that.
I think I'm done with the storyboard for episode 24. You can watch it here (SPOILER WARNING). This feels like a long episode, even after I've deleted about a page of dialogues. The texts still need some toying around, but I think this is starting to look like a definitive version.
