I honestly think you should provide a story line with separate scenes and soon assign each animator a scene from the script to do. I think this will make it flow together nicely but please provide the voice work + voice acting, and it should flow together nicely.

Ive only seen a few MD eps actually, I hate going back to watch the series like these because its like going from HDTV to antenna. Everyone gets better skills overtime and better equipment so It always ends up looking better as time passes.
Hope this collab turns out great. Sounds like you got participants willing to partake in the planning and execution as well. :)

My question is would you only collaberate with people that draw in a pretty style or would it be open to anyone with talent.

I'm not sure yet if I'd participate or what, but I'll lend my two cents:
Go with a script and have animators do each individual part. If the Metal Gear Collab taught us anything, if you take a popular series and give anyone the chance to partake, it could lead to a disaster.
At least with a script, you'll be able to ensure quality control. You can still be flexible with a script as well, such as just giving a summary of what happens in that particular scene instead of predetermined lines, actions, etc., if that were the only downside of doing predetermined scenes.

Actually I would figure Choice B would be the better one, especially since I (and maybe others) got a full plate on their hands.

anyways sounds like a fun Idea. I think making it a story and allowing people to do sections would be the way to go. would probably have to be action packed as no one wants to do a dialogue scene.
